Royal Enfield Himalayan BS6 Will Coming Soon: Company leak New Video Teaser

Chennai based motorcycle manufacturer, Royal Enfield has dropped a teaser hinting at the launch of the Himalayan BS6 model. The teaser shows a collage of snippets from different videos of the Royal Enfield Himalayan on the move over different kinds of terrain. Royal Enfield Himalayan BS6 Coming Soon: Company Drops New Video Teaser

Labeled ‘Built For All Roads; Built For No Roads’ the video uploade by Rushlane shows a ‘Coming Soon’ call-out in the middle for most parts. The snippets look rushed at the beginning of the video, but one quickly realizes that the snippets are more like GIF files and run in a loop within the kaleidoscope style frame they’re in.

The 2020 Royal Enfield B6 model has already been spotted multiple times while testing. And we have the list of new features this motorcycle will arrive with, for the most part.

The upcoming RE Himalayan BS6 will feature a hazard light switch, a re-designed instrument cluster that features seven tell-tale lights (five on the current-generation models), and a taller windshield.

The all new Himalayan BS6 will also feature chrome finished rims as compared to the all-black ones the current generation motorcycles feature. Royal Enfield has also moved to MRF Meteor tyre from the CEAT one they were using.

Key deign elements like the split-cradle frame, the telescopic front forks, and the mono-shock at the rear are expected to remain the same. Braking will continue to be handled by a 300mm disc brake at the front, and a 240mm disc at the rear

Rumor has it that the new Himalayan will feature smaller front wheels; the current-generation models feature 21-inch wheels at the front. While this will help with better handling, we think the motorcycle will lose some of its charm.

These rumors have lead to speculation that Royal Enfield might just launch a new variant of the Himalayan adventure motorcycle. However, we doubt it. There is nothing that tells us that the company is ready with a new motorcycle. While they are working on one, it is still a few months away from launch.

The current-generation Royal Enfield Himalayan features a BS4 compliant 411cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 24.5bhp of power and 32Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a five-speed transmission.

The 2020 BS6 models will continue to feature the 411cc engine, but will arrive with minor reduction in power and performance figures, thanks to the upgrades. By how much though, remains to be seen.

The new Himalayan BS6 will arrive with new paint schemes – Red and Black Dual Tone, Gravel Grey, and Lake Blue. The motorcycle will continue to be available in the existing Granite, Snow, and Sleet paint schemes.
