Vespa Elettrica e-scooter

Piaggio-owned Vespa is all set to launch its fully-electric scooter, the Elettrica, in India in June, according to a report. The premium electric scooter, which made its India debut at the 2020 Auto Expo, will be brought to our shores via the CBU (completely-built-unit) route.

The e-scooter promises a range of 100km and a top speed of 75kmph.

Here’s our roundup.

A look at the Vespa Elettrica

Design and features

Similar to the other Vespa models, the Elettrica comes with a retro-styled design featuring a neat front fascia, a flat seat, and rounded headlamp as well as mirrors.

However, the blue-colored accents around the wheels and body panels differentiate it from the fuel-powered models.

Furthermore, it also gets an all-LED lighting setup and a fully-digital instrument console that supports smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth.

To manage suspension duties, the e-scooter houses trailing-link forks on the front and a mono-shock absorber on the rear.

Finally, what about pricing?

How much?

The official details about the pricing and availability of the Vespa Elettrica will be revealed at its launch event itself which is set to happen in June.
